mIRC

Hello everybody. I have been thinking about this for awhile, As of right now in order to roleplay as your character you have to rp in a Yahoo chat room or under the rpg board (undecided right now), but im thinking of putting the rpg on mIRC (Internet Relay Chat). I will provide a small description of mIRC below.




mIRC is a virtual meeting place where people from all over the world can meet and talk; you'll find the whole diversity of human interests, ideas, and issues here, and you'll be able to participate in group discussions on one of the many thousands of IRC channels, on hundreds of IRC networks, or just talk in private to family or friends, wherever they are in the world.


To use IRC you need a small program like mIRC, an IRC client for Windows, written by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC is a friendly IRC client that is well equipped with options and tools.

Thats the description for mIRC, mIRC is shareware you can use it free for 30 days. If your interested in getting mIRC I can get it for you totally free. Its a really nice program, you can do alot things with it. I will only consider using mIRC for the rpg if you guys are interested in it. My opion on this is simple: Stay on Yahoo. I hink there is no need for us to move this Rpg to mIRC. I think that we should station ourselves right here on Yahoo.

I have to agree with that, but there are some benefits of using mIRC.

1. It has ALOT of options that Yahoo cant even touch.

2. You have virtually have NO control whatsoever of the chats on Yahoo, so if someone starts some nuts you cant kick them or ban them from the chat.

3. You have to invite everybody in the rpg to a chat if you want to train, do saga's, tournaments, or so fourth because there is'nt really a link to the yahoo chats, so they that may become annoying after awhile.

Yeah but you cant kick anybody out of an AIM chatroom.

I have solved the problem. We can have this Rpg on mIRC without anybody having to download a single thing! I have found fully functional mIRC Java chats that I have uploaded to the site and configured them to my liking. The only thing you have to do is press "Yes" when the message pops up on the screen when your getting ready to chat. The rpg will be on mIRC, I will make a page with more information tomorrow.
